Marliene McGee
1939-2016

Born September 11, 1939, Marliene passed away on Sunday, November 27, at the age of 77. She was predeceased by her father Fred, sister Lynn and brother Ken.

Marliene is survived by her husband and best friend Lee and daughter Nicole (Alf) Gaudet. She was known by many as a kind, caring, generous and witty, yet private, person. She touched the lives of many and will be missed greatly.

Dad and I would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who looked after Marliene, all our friends who texted, emailed, called or brought us food and flowers, and showed their support by being there for every minute of her last days. Thanks also to my co-workers and boss, who supported me and allowed me to be home by her side, and to my cousins (Dean, Kelly, Bill and wife Andra Garrett), we could not have remained strong and positive without all your love and support and it meant the world to Dad, Alf and I to have you there. We all supported one another through this difficult time.

We love you, Momma.

A celebration of life will be held at the Powell River Town Centre Hotel banquet room on Sunday, December 4, from 1-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the BC Lung Association.

Wonder (Wendy May) Mitchell

Wonder returned as a shining light to Spirit on Tuesday, November 29, after 70 years of living an interesting, sometimes challenging and fun-filled life.

Wonder always had a circle of loving playmates. She created beautiful spaces wherever she lived and invited her friends to play and relax. She reminded us all of the child within. Her generosity and spirit were truly limitless. She will be missed by her many friends.

A celebration of Wonder will be held in the spring of 2017.
