Robert Edward Parsons

It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our brother Robert on November 19. He was a lifelong resident of Powell River, born July 6, 1961, to Robert and Lorraine Parsons.

Rob was an avid soccer player as a youth and hockey player as a teen. He studied and worked within the silviculture and forestry profession throughout his life. He was an experienced surveyor, woodsman and prospector who enjoyed the challenge of a rocky slope more than pavement under his feet.

Rob was predeceased by his parents and older sister Brenda. He leaves behind his sisters Sandra and Donna, as well as a large local extended family and lifelong friends and acquaintances.

To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters.

We know each other as we always were. We know each other’s hearts.

We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, griefs and joys.

We live outside the touch of time.

No service arrangements have been made. All who knew and loved Rob are asked to think of his spirit at peace whenever the soft rains fall on our coastal mountains and forests.
