Bob Cuthbertson ~ August 6, 1933 - September 18, 2015
Bob passed away peacefully at home on Texada Island at the age of 82 years. Dad will be forever loved and his memory cherished by Pat, his wife of 60 years, daughters Lynda (Yvon) Robert and Cindy (Rick) Newbury and son Kevin (Kim) Cuthbertson. He was a special grandpa to Alicia, Clayton, Cara, Kyle, Bryce and Travis and great-grandpa to Travis, Lacie, Quincy, Orin and Mariah. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his brother Bill (Tilly), sisters Jessie (Bruno) Naples, Helen (Don) Mckay and Pudgy (Blake) Tracy.
Dad spent most of his life on Texada Island, working first in the logging industry and later for Ideal Cement and Holnam. Mom and Dad enjoyed many years of boating and fishing along the coast, traveling in their fifth wheel and with Lynda and Yvon in their motorhome.
A celebration of life will be held at the Texada Legion, 2611 Legion Road, Van Anda on Saturday, October 3 at 1 pm. Please bring your memories and stories. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Texada Island Health Centre.
