B.C. murder suspect has connections to Calgary, Edmonton, police warn

SURREY, B.C. — Police in British Columbia now say a man wanted for first-degree murder has associates in Edmonton and Calgary and residents in those cities are urged to be on the lookout for him.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says 27-year-old Brandon Teixeira remains at large but is believed to be somewhere in B.C.'s Lower Mainland.

He is wanted for the Oct. 23, 2017 shooting death of Surrey resident Nicholas Khabra.

Teixeira is described as five foot 10 inches tall, 161 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, a snake tattoo on his left chest and a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

When the arrest warrant was issued last week, homicide team spokesman Cpl. Frank Jang said Teixeira is "believed to be extremely violent and poses a significant risk to public safety."

Anyone spotting the man is warned not to approach him and to immediately call 911.
