a Canada Day celebration from 12 to 6 pm at Willingdon Beach. Features include local music, clowns and a balloon show, bouncy castles, face painting, cake, food vendors, a fishing derby and more. A free Promenade Concert featuring two International Choral Kathaumixw choirs will take place at Loggers Memorial Bowl at Willingdon Beach. The free event begins at 10:45 am with SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School from Hong Kong and Powell River Academy Apprentice Choir.

Friday, July 6

Reach to Recovery provides hospital and home visits to recently diagnosed breast cancer patients. Service offers one-on-one counselling with trained counsellors for anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and provides information. StrongStart

StrongStart early learning programs are available for children birth to pre-kindergarten at Kelly Creek Community School, James Thomson, Henderson and Westview elementary schools, and on the ORCA Bus.
