British Columbia residents have online options for registering to vote, requesting a vote-by-mail package, or registering as a future voter.

On its website, Elections BC states that it is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and taking all necessary steps to ensure the provincial election remains safe and accessible for all voters.

During a pandemic, vote by mail is a good option for voters with underlying health conditions and for voters who do not wish to vote in person at a voting place, according to Elections BC.

Residents will need to provide their name, date of birth, address, and one of the following identification numbers: BC driver’s licence; BC Identification Card number; last six digits of their social insurance number; or last six digits of their personal health number.

Vote-by-mail package requests must include an email address or telephone number.
