The $10,000 cheque from the renewable energy company was accepted by local United Way executive director Dale Lawson, who said programs and services funded by the non-profit organization reach every corner of the community because of philanthropy, kindness and generous donations.
The funds from Evolugen represent the single biggest corporate donation to Powell River and District United Way and helps the organization continue its work in the community.
