Longtime Powell River resident Gertrude MacNair [left] was one of the lucky people to meet “King” Richard Brodeur when the former Vancouver Canuck was in town for the Powell River Kings’ Fit for a King event on Saturday, June 1.
She has been a fan since Brodeur and the Canucks reached the Stanley Cup final in 1982.
In addition to that drop-in visit, King Richard also did some fishing with Steve Brach while in town.
