Jail and bail event raises funds for Powell River and District United Way

Powell River and District United Way director Pat Hull, in the prisoner’s garb, accepted a cheque for $5,000 from Jack Barr, president of Powell River Town Centre Ltd., during a jail and bail event held for the United Way on Monday, November 25.

Hull, who is retiring and will be leaving Powell River, raised more than $10,000 for the United Way during his stint behind bars.
