PHOTOS: Family of Trina Hunt offering $50K reward for more information

The Port Moody woman's body was found near Hope on March 29 more than two months after she went missing.

A month after it was announced she was found deceased, the family of a Port Moody woman is making a plea to the public today (June 1).

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says Trina Hunt's family is offering a $50,000 reward for anyone who comes forward with more information about her suspected murder case.

On May 1, IHIT announced the 48-year-old's body was found the morning of March 29 in the Silver Creek area of Hope. That's more than 120 kilometres away from her home.

Homicide detectives immediately took control of the investigation and have been working with the BC Coroners Service.

The family is hoping new details or information that comes forward can lead to an arrest and charges.

Anyone with information related to Hunt’s death is asked to contact IHIT's information line at 1-877-551-4448 or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

Anonymous tipsters can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477.
