Powell River Board of Education has announced that all School District 47 schools will be open on Thursday, January 16, with the exception of Texada Elementary School.
However, buses will not be running as safe pickup and drop off areas are not available due to accumulation of snow on roadsides.
The after school program at Henderson Elementary School is cancelled for today.
Assumption School and Powell River Christian School are both closed today.
