Powell River RCMP reported the following for January 3 to 9, 2019.

January 3; Haslam Street
At approximately 4 pm, police responded to a mischief report at a fish hatchery. Sometime between December 28 and December 31, 2018, someone entered the hatchery site and tampered with flow valves on the fish tanks, resulting in the death of around 700,000 chum salmon.

January 5; Westview Avenue, 4700 block
At approximately 9:15 am, police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. Between 6:30 pm on January 2 and 7:30 am on January 3, someone entered the vehicle and stole a dive computer from inside.

January 9; Complex Way
At approximately 9:47 am, police responded to a mischief report at Powell River Recreation Complex. During the night, someone on an ATV drove on the grassy area across from the hockey rink causing significant property damage.
