February 14; Saskatchewan Avenue, 4900 block
At approximately 6:50 am, police responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence. A resident of the house awoke to find a female suspect climbing through a window into the home.  The suspect was confronted and ran from the scene. After a brief investigation a 22-year-old female was arrested for the crime is now facing charges of break and enter. She went in front of a justice and was subsequently released.

February 15; Marine Avenue, 4400 block
At approximately 5:30 pm, RCMP attended a single vehicle collision. The investigation revealed that a northbound Kia Spectra had crossed the centreline and struck a fence. The driver, a 31-year-old from Powell River, displayed signs of drug impairment. He was brought back to the detachment for further evaluation and issued a 24-hour suspension. Pending the forensic lab analysis, the driver may be facing charges of impaired driving.

February 17; Joyce Avenue, 4900 block
At approximately 1:30 pm, police were alerted to a single vehicle collision which occurred in the parking lot of a building. Once on scene, the officer noted a 2001 GMC pickup truck that had backed into a garbage bin enclosure. The driver, a 55-year-old Powell River resident, was observed trying to pry the truck from its resting position. The driver displayed signs of drug impairment and was brought back to the detachment for further evaluation. The driver refused to comply with further testing and will appear in Powell River Provincial Court to answer to the charge of failing to comply with the demand.
