Powell River RCMP reported the following for January 21 to 27, 2021.

Break and enter: 4
January 21: Joyce Avenue, 4700 block
At approximately 8:22 am, police responded to a report of a break and enter at the Community Resource Centre. Sometime during the previous night, someone entered the building and stole a number of items including a Bose Bluetooth speaker, a foldable wagon, several packages of frozen meat and an Asus laptop. Police conducted a forensic examination of the scene and located evidence. This matter is still under investigation.
January 24; Highway 101, south
At approximately 11:19 pm, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision near Bradford Road. Police attended and located the driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old male. He showed signs of impairment, so a breath demand was made. The breath sample registered a fail on the screening device. The driver was taken back to the Powell River detachment where two further breath samples were obtained. As a result of the investigation, the driver was issued a driving prohibition and will appear in court at a later date on impaired driving charges.
January 25; Abbotsford Street, 7300 block
At approximately 9:24 am, police responded to a report of a stolen bike at the school district shop. The bike, a brown Giant Reign with new red grips, was locked in a shed behind a locked gate at that location. The bike is believed to have been stolen sometime during the evening of January 20and is valued at approximately $2,500.
