The traffic lights at the intersection of Joyce Avenue and Alberni Street will be in flash mode into next week due to technical issues. The City of Powell River, on Friday, June 14, asked motorists to follow the rules of the road. A flashing red signal light means exactly the same as a stop sign. After stopping, proceed when safe and observe the right-of-way rules.
The city's infrastructure and operations department is working to resolve the technical issues.
