BC Ferries’ MV Malaspina Sky will be removed from service on the Earls Cove-Saltery Bay route for the last round trip on January 16 and the first round trip on January 17 to allow engineers time to conduct required engineering maintenance on the hull of the vessel.

BC Ferries has announced that on January 16, the Malaspina Sky sailing at 9:45 pm from Saltery Bay and the 10:40 pm sailing from Earls Cove have been cancelled, along with the 7:30 am sailing from Saltery Bay, and 8:25 am sailing from Earls Cove on January 17.

In a travel advisory, BC Ferries states that no other sailings will be affected and the vessel will resume service with the regularly scheduled 9:25 am sailing from Saltery Bay on January 17.

“BC Ferries thanks their customers for their patience and understanding as we complete this planned maintenance,” the advisory stated.
