Vancouver Coastal Health confirms COVID-19 in Powell River

Medical health officer will be hosting Facebook session to answer questions from community members

COVID-19 cases in Powell River have been confirmed.

According to information released by Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), there have been fewer than five cases but an exact number is not being released out of privacy considerations.

The information has been released by Dr. Geoff McKee, VCH medical health officer, who will be holding a Facebook Live event on July 7 for residents of Powell River and the Sunshine Coast to give them an opportunity to ask any public health questions they might have about COVID-19.

 

The 30-minute session will be held at noon and will be hosted on the Vancouver Coastal Health Facebook page at facebook.com/events/649652615623085/.
