Will it be A Star is Born, Bohemian Rhapsody, At Eternity’s Gate, Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman or If Beale Street Could Talk? The Golden Globes are coming up this Sunday, and B.C. bettors can now make their picks at PlayNow.com regarding which drama picture will take home the hardware.

B.C. bettors can also join in the fun of one of Hollywood’s biggest nights by wagering on 18 other categories including Best Actress Drama, Best Actor Drama, and Best Director.

Currently on PlayNow.com, the Best Actor Drama nod has Hollywood leading man, Bradley Cooper, as the favourite to take home the win for his role as a seasoned musician in A Star is Born.

The movie has five nominations at the Globes including Best Picture Drama. PlayNow.com’s oddsmakers have installed Cooper as the 7/5 favourite to win the award, followed closely by Remi Malek for his portrayal of Queen’s lead singer, Freddy Mercury, in Bohemian Rhapsody. Malek has 9/5 odds to win.

Best Actress Drama nominees include Lady Gaga, Nicole Kidman, Glenn Close, Rosamund Pike and Melissa McCarthy. For her role in A Star is Born, Lady Gaga is the odds-on favourite to accept the award, with PlayNow.com odds currently at 4/6. Glenn Close has the second best chance, with 3/1 odds for her role in The Wife.

There are a couple of Canadians of note to wager on. Comedian Jim Carrey is up for Best Actor Comedy/Musical with odds currently sitting at 9/2. Sandra Oh, who is co-hosting the event, is nominated for Best Lead Actress - TV Drama for her role in Killing Eve. At 1/2 odds, she is the leading contender in that category.

The 76th Golden Globe Awards take place in Los Angeles on Jan. 6. Betting on the results of the event ends at the start of the show, at 5 p.m.
