I was delighted to find the article about the 20th anniversary of Powell River men's choir, Chor Musica, in the Peak [Men’s choir celebrates 20 years,” December 14].
To give appropriate credit where it is due, missing from that article was mention of the choir's original accompanist, Richard Olfert, and the long-term contribution he made to Chor Musica, especially with his arrangements of much of its music to suit the vocal ranges of our members.
It was an honour and a pleasure for us to participate in the 2015 Cornwall International Male Choral Festival by special invitation, where we, accompanied by Richard Olfert and under the direction of Walter Martella, tied for fourth place in the world.
