Intermission at Powell River Kings game features First Shift players (VIDEO)

Program provides affordable opportunity for youth to try hockey
First Shift program

Participants in the First Shift program took to the ice at Hap Parker Arena in Powell River on Saturday, February 22.

The program’s aim is to make hockey more affordable for young children to try the sport and have fun.

The new players entertained fans at both ends of the ice during the first intermission of a Powell River Kings/Victoria Grizzlies BC Hockey League game.

Who knows? One or more of those in the video below, who are now learning the game, just may be future BCHLers.

First Shift came to Powell River for the first time in 2018.
