Powell River athletes bring home medals from track meet

Brooks Secondary School track team competed at the Fraser Valley High School Invitational in Surrey on April 20, with each of the 13 athletes collecting medals. The team ranked fourth overall in both male and female point totals.

Brooks track and field athletes are coached by Connie Polman Tuin, Scott Glaspey and Dean Thorsell.

Brooks will host the North Island Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships from noon to 8 pm on Thursday, May 2, at Timberlane Park track. The public is welcome to come out and cheer the team on.
