RINGER REWARDS: Powell River Horseshoe Pitching Club ended its fun-filled 2019 season with a banquet and awards night on Saturday, October 26.

Ringer Kings team members [from left] Betty Blacklock, Sylvia Sheldon, Sandra MacLean and Dave Antle received trophies as season league and playoff winners.

Individual awards were also presented to Betty Russell (novice); Len MacLean (Intermediate A); Lorraine Hubick (Top Class); Paige Naharnoff (Most Improved under 20 per cent); Antle (Most Improved over 20 per cent) and Blacklock (Intermediate B). Margie Woloschuk and Serge Dube received the trophy for doubles.

During the season, pitcher Carol Skrodolis attended a Canadian Championship event in Brampton, Ontario, and placed third in her level.

The club is a sanction member of the BC Horseshoe Association, operates from April to September and welcomes all ages.
