Powell River Kings finish road trip with win in Prince George

Powell River Kings completed a three-game road trip with a 2-1 win over defending BC Hockey League champion Prince George Spruce Kings on Sunday, December 1.

Brett Roloson led the way offensively, scoring both goals on Powell River power plays in the first and second periods to put the visitors up 2-0. Prince George replied before the second intermission, also on a power play.

Derek Krall stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced to earn the win while his teammates converted on two of their 25 shots in the game.

Powell River picked up two of the three game star selections: Roloson (first) and Jack Long (third). Prince George goal scorer Nick Bochen earned second star recognition.

Michael Abgrall helped set up two goals for Powell River. Ben Wozney and Reilly Moran also had assists.

Attendance at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena was 838.

Powell River returns to action at home on Friday, December 6. Surrey Eagles provide the opposition. Game time is 7 pm.
