DOUBLE GOLD: Powell River Pee Wee Reps recently claimed their second gold medal of the month by defeating North Vancouver in the final of the Pacific Rim Invitational.
The tournament took place from January 17 to 19 at Powell River Recreation Complex.
Powell River lost its first three games of the tournament by scores of 7-3 (Whitehorse), 4-2 (Vancouver) and 7-6 (North Vancouver) before rebounding with a 6-2 win over Whitehorse in the semi-final game and advancing to the final.
The team also won a gold medal at the Ridge Meadows Hometown Heroes Hockey Tournament earlier in January.
