Powell River Pee Wee Rep Kings improved their record to two wins, one loss and one tie at the BC Hockey Pee Wee Tier 3 Hockey Championship with a 4-3 win over Burnaby at Hap Parker Arena on Tuesday, March 19. Nova Andrews opened the scoring for the host club and Max Carlson recorded a hat-trick.

In other Group B action earlier in the day, Terrace defeated Burnaby 10-1 and Whitehorse beat Kelowna 13-9.

With a record of 3-0, Whitehorse is guaranteed top sport in the group while Powell River has solidifed second place. One group game remains between Whitehorse and Terrace (7 am on Wednesday, March 20), which will not change the final standings. Terrace has a record of one win, one tie and one loss.

Due to winning their head-to-head meeting with Terrace earlier in the tournament, even if the northern BC team wins tomorrow morning, Powell River will face the Group A winner (Whistler) in the semi-final on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 pm.

Terrace, Burnaby and Kelowna have been eliminated from contention.

Whitehorse will face Group A runner-up Quesnel at 3 pm on Wednesday in the other semi-final game.

Bronze and gold medal games takes place at 8 and 11 am on Thursday, March 21.
