UPDATED: Powell River pee wees split first two games at hockey provincials

In their first game of the BC Hockey Pee Wee Tier 3 Hockey Championship at Hap Parker Arena on Sunday, March 17, Powell River Pee Wee Rep Kings defeated Terrace 4-3 in Group B action.

Pee Wee Kings played their second game of the day at 8 pm against Whitehorse and fell 15-2 to the visitors from Yukon.

In other Group B action today, Burnaby and Kelowna tied 4-4 in the first game of the tournament for both teams.

In Group A this morning, Whistler posted an 8-2 win over Dawson Creek. Also in Group A, North Island downed Quesnel 6-5 this afternoon. In the final Group A game of the day, the club from Whistler posted its second win of the day, outscoring Castlegar 7-2.

Six more games will be played on Monday, March 18, beginning at 7 am. Powell River faces Kelowna in the final matchup of the day at 2:30 pm.
