William (Bill) Oscar Eagle, September 22, 1932 - August 16, 2015

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Bill. Only child of Oscar and Julia, Bill leaves behind his pride and joy, his wife Janet, children Ken (Valerie), Karen and Kevin, four wonderful grandchildren Shawn (Ashley), Jason, Kyle, Elanna and three special ladies Sylvia, Susan and Kas. At Bill’s request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bill’s memory to the local SPCA would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Nick White, emergency staff, and Willingdon Creek Village staff for their care over the last few months. A big thank you to you all.

Myles Thomas Gray, February 20, 1982 – August 13, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Myles was tragically taken from us on Thursday, August 13. He leaves to mourn his parents Mark and Margie Gray, sister Melissa Gray (Mike Easson), grandmother Jean Gray, great-aunt Margaret Brown, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and his constant companion Dingo, the orange cat.

Myles grew up in Powell River and went on to do heavy-duty construction in Vancouver and Vernon, prawn fished, and did seasonal green work until taking on the ownership and running of Selma Park Evergreens in Sechelt six years ago. He worked long and hard to make his business successful. He valued his loyal employees and friendship was a key to his life. He leaves behind many friends from everywhere he lived. All were special, he loved them, enjoyed their company and was always up for a good laugh. We are heartened that he recently spent time with old friends in the Yukon and in Powell River.

A funeral will be held Saturday, August 29 at noon at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 5700 Nickerson Road, Sechelt, BC. Reception to follow in the church hall, where we would love to share stories and pictures.

Robert Roy Keil, November 13, 1932 - August 14, 2015

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and uncle. Left to mourn his passing are his son Regan (Kelly), granddaughters Madelyn and Haedyn; his sisters Dorothy, Ruth and Esther and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gottfried and Mary, and brother Albert.

Bob was a fantastic hockey player having played in numerous leagues over the course of his career, the Ayr Raiders, Kelowna Packers, Medicine Hat Tigers and the Powell River Regals, going on to teach his granddaughter how to take a slapshot in the living room at the age of 80.

Bob moved to Powell River to play hockey and landed a job at the Powell River pulp and paper mill that kept him in Powell River for the remainder of his days. Bob was a kind-hearted man with the best sense of humour, always quick to make friends and show interest in others.

His nature was loving and giving,

His heart was made of pure gold,

And to us who truly love him,

His memory will never grow old.

There will be no service by request.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Maria. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
