Powell River Kings fail to hold lead over Victoria

Grizzlies erase three goal deficit, come back to earn road win

Powell River Kings built leads of 3-0 and 4-2 but ultimately fell 6-4 to the visiting Victoria Grizzlies on Friday, March 1.

Anthony Lucarelli, Kristians Samitis, Ryan Arnold and Anthony Yu scored for the Kings, who were outshot 45-31. Vincent Lamberti made 39 saves for the home team.

After a late second period goal to make it 4-3, Victoria outscored Powell River 3-0 over the final 20 minutes, including an empty-net tally with 50 seconds left on the clock.

The two BC Hockey League teams meet again tonight (March 2) at Hap Parker Arena. Game time is 5 pm.
