Margaret

Yvonne passed peacefully surrounded by her family after a brave battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Bernie and sons Gilles and Charles. Yvonne is survived by her daughter Angela (Craig), son Keith (Nicky), son Glenn (Dana), 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Yvonne was born in Liverpool, England. She was 18 years old when she came to Canada and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, where she met her beloved Bernie. They were stationed all over Canada, including Nova Scotia and Quebec, and in Montana, USA, before settling in Prince George.
Yvonne worked at Sears where she proudly achieved top sales associate. She moved to Mexico where she ran a hobby farm and cared for sick/injured animals. She returned to Canada, settling in Powell River, where she enjoyed the ocean and gardening.
Yvonne will be deeply missed, but will be remembered for her free spirit, kind soul, love of animals and passion to travel. Most importantly, she will not be forgotten for the undying love she gave to her family.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and care staff at Prince George Rotary Hospice and Powell River General Hospital for their amazing care. A funeral will not be held at the request of Yvonne, but donations can be made to Rotary Hospice House in her name.
