Update: Thousands of people gathered in downtown Victoria, along the Dallas Road waterfront and at Ogden Point to watch the Snowbirds perform on Tuesday evening. The show was also visible across a large swath of the capital region. The performance, a shortened version of their air show routines, roared to life at 6 p.m., just like the team said it would, and lasted almost 15 minutes.

The Snowbirds are expected to fly across the Inner Harbour several times on Tuesday evening as part of the air display team’s 2025 season across North America.
The nine-plane formation flyover at 6 p.m. will not be the air display team’s full air show routine. The low-altitude show will be visible — and audible — over a large swath of the capital region.
“This is your front-row seat to Snowbirds precision, power, and pride, set against one of the most stunning backdrops in the country,” the group said in a social-media post on Monday.
The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority is recommending Ship Point Pier, the Lower Causeway and the Ogden Point Breakwater as ideal viewing spots.
Nanaimo will get its chance to see the Snowbirds next month on Aug. 15 and 16, which is expected to be a full air show.
The team was most recently in Victoria last year to escort the Hawaii Martin Mars water bomber’s last flight from Sproat Lake to Patricia Bay, before the massive plane was taken to its final destination at the B.C. Aviation Museum in North Saanich.
