Citizens of Tla’amin Nation welcomed Canada C3 to its territory when the icebreaker anchored off Willingdon Beach on October 20 as part of its voyage of reconciliation. The expedition, a Canada 150 project of Students on Ice Foundation, includes 150 days of travel along Canadian coastlines from Toronto, through the Northwest Passage and around BC waters before culminating in Victoria. About 30 passengers came ashore for festivities that included visiting Hɛhɛwšɩn Reconciliation Canoe Journey Grandfather Project and Tla’amin Government House. David Brindle photos
