Eight-year-old celebrates drive-by birthday in Powell River

DRIVE-BY BIRTHDAY: Due to social distancing restrictions enacted by federal and provincial governments, family members and friends came up with an idea to create a birthday to remember for Powell River resident Brayden Messner on March 31.

A parade of vehicles, including a Powell River Fire Rescue truck, passed by the eight-year-old’s home on Saanich Avenue in Cranberry to help with the celebration, which included verbal birthday wishes and homemade signs.
