Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 schedule of events for Monday, November 11, 2019:

7 to 9 am: Breakfast (lower Legion Hall, 6811 Alexander Street)

9:15 am: Bus leaves the Legion to take veterans to parade area

9:30 am: Parade fall-in (foot of Arbutus Avenue at Walnut Street)

9:35 am: March in the colours

9:45 am: Parade marches to Dwight Hall

 

At Dwight Hall

10 am: Service begins

March in the colours

Singing of "O Canada"

Colours are deposited into flag stands

Service

Colours are retrieved

Singing of "God Save the Queen"

Colours leave the hall

Parade will form up in two ranks outside the hall

10:45 am: Parade marches to the Cenotaph

 

10:58 am: At Cenotaph

Playing of "Last Post"

Two-minute silence

Lament

Rouse

Act of remembrance

Prayers

Recognition of members of the Armed Forces from Powell River who lost their lives during WWI and WWII

Placing of official wreaths

Parade will form up in three ranks

March past

Salute to the veterans

Parade dismissed

Lunch and entertainment at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 hall to follow.
