Seniors association in Powell River presents cheque to fundraiser winner

Senior Citizens Association of BC Branch 49 fundraising director Marlene Gosgnach [right] recently presented Powell River resident Gladys Raven with a cheque for winning the annual Cranberry Seniors Centre fundraiser.

Due to COVID-19, members were not able to sell tickets at usual locations for the fundraiser, which began in March.

As a result, the draw date was extended from June 15 to October 13. Raven won $2,075 of the $4,150 raised.
