BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) reported one COVID-19 case in the Powell River local health area from September 26 to October 2, the same total as the previous two reporting periods (September 19 to 25 and September 12 to 18), when one case was also reported.
The cumulative total of positive COVID-19 cases for the local health area from January 2020 through September 2021 is 120, according to BCCDC.
Five cases were reported in the area from September 5 to September 11, 2021, one fewer than the August 29 to September 4 reporting period, when six cases were reported.
The previous three reporting periods (August 22 to 28; August 15 to 21; August 8 to 14) each resulted in the announcement of two cases. From August 1 to 7, four cases were reported.
