CARING CONTRIBUTION: 100+ Women Who Care Powell River members Katya Buck-Gustafson [left] and Deborah Jenkins [right] presented a $7,000 cheque to Powell River Professional Fire Fighters Charitable Society on Thursday, November 22.
Powell River Fire Rescue coordinator/public educator Trish Greenwood [second from left] and firefighter Kevin Culos were on hand to receive the donation.
If all 100+ Women Who Care members who were not able to attend the vote get their donations in within the two-week window, the donation to the firefighters charity will be $14,000 due to matching funds 100+ Women was awarded through a Powell River Community Forest grant.
