Powell Riverites will get the chance to try their hand at flying an airplane tomorrow when the AirBuzz Flight Simulator stops at Powell River Visitor Information Centre.

Starting at 11 am on Tuesday, August 28, for one day only, the simulator will be in the visitor centre parking lot at 4760 Joyce Avenue. The display is taking place to help raise awareness of the Texada Aviation Museum and the annual Aerospace Camp.

“This is a great opportunity for visitors and locals alike to take in the amazing work done by the Aerospace Camp and Texada Aviation Museum organizers, including the work of aviation artist Doby Dobrostanski, and Bari Lewis, pilot and member of the Westview Flying Club,” said visitor centre manager Tracey Ellis.

The AirBuzz Mk II flight simulator has recently become a common sight at regional airshows and public events on the West Coast of BC. Over 20,000 people have seen it and over 350 people have experienced flying it.
