BC SPCA Powell River short on food donations

Shelter needs more contributions to feed dogs and cats in the qathet region

BC SPCA Powell River recently announced that it is in dire need of dog and cat food.

The animal shelter primarily depends on donations from the community to support its pet food bank programs, which some community members rely on. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, BC SPCA pet food bank programs have helped people struggling financially to feed their animals.

The public is welcome to bring wet and dry dog and cat food donations to the shelter at 7558 Duncan Street.

BC SPCA Powell River is one of 42 branches across BC helping animals in need, and so far this year has successfully adopted out many dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rats to new homes.
