Community brief: Powell River Kings host fundraiser

More than 100 Powell River Kings supporters, including Verne Kinley [left], and several team volunteers, including Julie Livingstone [right], were in attendance at a successful Powell River Kings Burger and Beer fundraising event held at Carlson Community Club on Saturday, June 9.

The hockey team raised more than $9,000, which will go toward general revenue.
