In 1543, England’s King Henry VIII married Catherine Parr, his sixth and last wife.
In 1940, pilot officer Duncan Alexander Hewitt was the first Canadian killed in action during the Second World War in the Battle of Britain. The New Brunswick resident was 20 years old and a member of 501 Squadron Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
In 1962, The Rolling Stones performed for the first time in London.
