In 1906, Canadian physicist Reginald A. Fessenden became the first person to transmit the human voice (his own), as well as music over radio, from Brant Rock, Massachusetts.
In 1951, Libya gained independence after being ruled by Italy since 1912 and became a constitutional monarchy under King Idris, who was overthrown in a military coup led by Muammar Gaddafi in 1969.
In 1990, Montreal Expos traded future hall of fame (2017) baseball player Tim "Rock" Raines to Chicago White Sox.
