On this day:
In 1937, King George VI was crowned at Westminster Abbey in London, and his wife, Elizabeth, was crowned as queen consort. 

In 1958, Canada signed an agreement with the United States to create the North American Air Defense Command, which was later renamed the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

In 2017, a cyber extortion attack locked up computers in dozens of countries and held users’ files for ransom at a multitude of hospitals, companies and government agencies.
