In 1881, in Tombstone, Arizona, Wyatt Earp, two of his brothers and “Doc” Holliday met members of Ike Clanton’s gang, three of whom were killed in the incident, in a gunfight at the OK Corral. Earp’s brothers and Holliday were wounded.
In 1984, the film that led to several sequels, The Terminator, directed by Canadian James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, premiered in theatres.
In 1997, Jacques Villeneuve became the first Canadian to win F1 World Drivers Championship.
