In 1955, Elvis Presley made his television debut on a show called Louisiana Hayride.
In 1963, country music performers Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins died in a plane crash near Camden, Tennessee, along with Cline’s manager Randy Hughes, who was also the pilot.
In 1982, at age 33, actor and comedian John Belushi was found dead of a drug overdose in Hollywood.
