Powell River Fire Rescue faced off against Powell River RCMP in a charity hockey game at Hap Parker Arena last month.
Around $6,000 was raised for Powell River Professional Firefighters Charitable Society’s Feed the Kids program.
With about 600 fans on hand to support the initiative and witness the fun-filled game, RCMP members avenged last year’s loss with a 4-3 win over the firefighters’ squad in the 2023 edition of the now annual event.
