PHOTOS: Remembrance Day 2022 at Veteran's Memorial Park

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 (Powell River) hosted events in Townsite on November 11

Following a service to commemorate Remembrance Day inside Dwight Hall, veterans, cadets, first responders and community organizations marched to the cenotaph in Veteran’s Memorial Park for a ceremony including two minutes of silence, placing of wreaths and a salute to veterans.

A large crowd was on hand to pay their respects to fallen soldiers, as well as those who served and continue to serve their country.

After two years of COVID-19 restrictions limiting access to and around Dwight Hall and Veteran’s Memorial Park in Townsite for Remembrance Day ceremonies, the traditional Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 (Powell River) program returned to the pre-pandemic schedule in 2022.
