Powell River Kings’ players Karter McNarland [left] and Branden Toye helped the club’s rink rats collect donated teddy bears and toys during a BC Hockey League game at Hap Parker Arena on Friday, December 10.
Kings’ forward Parker Lalonde [not pictured] scored the first goal of the game, which prompted fans to toss the items onto the ice as part of the annual Teddy Bear Toss event hosted by the team.
All proceeds were donated to the Powell River and District Christmas Cheer committee.
Kings led the game 3-0 but ultimately lost 4-3 in overtime to Cowichan Valley Capitals.
