Powell River Public Library will mark the fifth anniversary in its new space with a celebration on Thursday, July 7.

"While we have certainly had difficulties over the past two years, we have had so many more successes," stated assistant chief librarian Natalie Porter. "This library is an upgrade that has shaped the way our community benefits from library services."

After the launch of the Summer Reading Club at 11:30 am, the library is welcoming visitors to a party, including cake on the patio, at 11:45 am.

Friends of the Library's book sale also takes place that afternoon from 2 to 5 pm.
