Prior to facing teams from Coquitlam, North Vancouver and Vancouver in Coastal Cup quarter-final matches at Brooks Secondary School Field and Sunset Park on April 15, Powell River Youth Soccer Association U13 girls Strikers, U14 boys Mavericks and U15 girls Eagles held moments of silence in honour of individuals and families affected by the April 6 bus accident involving members of the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team.
