2018 Brooks Secondary School graduates Cullen Buholzer [second from left] and Wesley Berg [right] were co-recipients of the inaugural Braxton Leask and Dylan Buckle Memorial Award at the school’s recent awards and scholarships ceremony.
The award includes a $500 scholarship for both students.
Leask and Buckle’s lives were taken under tragic circumstances in July 2017.
Leask’s mother Nichelle Guignard and brother Taylor Lance [second from right] presented the award.
The new scholarship is meant to provide high school graduates with financial assistance to pursue careers in the trades and athletics.
